Valley Trail, Highway 99, Whistler, BC
Client: Intrawest Resort Developments Group
Description: A 1.5 km long extension of the municipal trail system as part of the Kadenwood Development DCC requirements. This project has involved the design of all civil services, relocation of Highway 99, preliminary approvals and site preparation, construction and inspection.
CREUS Member Roles: CREUS members were the Engineer of record for all the detailed civil, sediment and erosion control and Stormwater Management elements of the project. CREUS members managed the tender and construction of the works. The highway relocation was an alternate design solution brought forward by the original team members to avoid excessive costs related to utility relocation.

Dollarton Highway, Dollarton Highway, North Vancouver, BC
Client: Noble Holdings
Description: A 5-acre, waterfront residential development on a hillside neighborhood. This project has involved the design, preliminary approvals and detailed design for the 7-lot development.
CREUS Member Roles: CREUS members were the original, and continue to be, the Engineer of record for all the detailed civil, sediment and erosion control and Stormwater Management elements of the project. CREUS members managed the tender and construction of the works and provided inspection for all ongoing and completed on-site preparation and initial civil works. Managed design and approvals for pier and Marina construction.

Furry Creek, SLRD, BC
Client: Tanac Land Developments and Park Lane Homes
Description: A 1,000-acre mixed use waterfront development on a mountainside with numerous creeks, highway, hydro and rail issues. This project has involved the design of all civil services, roads, pump stations, reservoirs, ski area integration, preliminary approvals and site preparation, construction and inspection.
CREUS Member Roles: A CREUS member was the Development Manager during the early portions of the development, directly managing the design, approvals, tendering construction management, subdivision and operational agreements for roads and services, highway interchange, golf course alterations, hydro substation upgrade, fibre optic servicing, water system implementation, sewage treatment plant, sewage outfall, award-winning creek and foreshore restoration works, marketing sales centre, show home, member of Advisory Design Panel, subdivision of more than half of the current subdivisions, completion of the golf course and renovations. CREUS members were also involved as Engineer of record for the detailed civil design, sediment and erosion control and Stormwater Management elements of the last three phases of development.

Cypress Venue, West Vancouver, BC
Client: VANOC
Description: The 2010 Freestyle and Snowboard Olympic Venue hosting 6 Olympic Events in 2010.
CREUS Member Roles: A CREUS member was the Development Manager for VANOC for the Venue Construction for the Cypress Venue. This included managing the design, approvals, tendering, construction management and operational agreements for 9 mw Hydro feed upgrade, high voltage backbone, communication network, snowmaking system including intake, 1200 HP pump station, 12 km of high pressure distribution, reservoir, Judges Tower, lighting, Raven Lift, Freestyle surface lift, detailed trail grooming, wetland restoration projects and associated integration into ski area operation.

Cypress Mountain, West Vancouver, BC
Client: Cypress Bowl Recreations Ltd.
Description: A 1,300-acre Ski Area development in Cypress Provincial Park including Alpine, Nordic and snowplay uses as well as summer hiking and mountain biking. This is one of the top 5 busiest ski areas in BC and is the focus of several local interest groups.
CREUS Member Roles: A CREUS member was the Director of Development during periods of intense capital works. This involved directly managing the design, approvals, tendering, construction management and operational agreements for microfiltration water system, distribution upgrade and reservoir system construction, sewage system connection to municipal system through crown and private lands including storage and timed-release system to address downstream system inadequacies, Eagle Chair construction, Easy Rider Chair, 6,000 square foot rental building, network and phone system upgrades, fibre optic communication networking, propane farm, office upgrades, kilometers of trail work, 350-spot parking lot construction and existing parking lot upgrade. In 2008, CREUS managed and acted as General Contractor for the 48,000 square foot Cypress Creek Lodge Construction. CREUS members were also involved as Engineer of record for the detailed civil design, sediment and erosion control parking lot construction and upgrades.

Green River, SLRD, BC
Client: 28165 Yukon Inc.
Description: A 700-acre residential development on a mountainside neighborhood with tough terrain and encroachments with rivers, highway, rail, hydro and creeks. Project is within SLRD and did not have any existing services. This project has involved the design of all civil services, roads, pump stations, reservoirs, creation of a CPCN, creation of an ISMP, bridges, preliminary approvals and site preparation, construction and inspection. We have provided project management for civil works, bridge construction, wetland restoration projects, site development, entry monuments, water system and sewage treatment plant construction.
CREUS Member Roles: CREUS members were the original, and continue to be, the Engineer of record for all the detailed civil, sediment and erosion control and Stormwater Management elements of the project. CREUS members have managed the tender and construction of the works to date.

Quest University, Squamish, BC
Client: Sea to Sky University Foundation
Description: A 240-acre, mixed use development with a full service university, resident housing, market housing, sports field, wetlands, creek crossings and significant off-site works. This project has involved the design, approvals, construction and inspection of several kilometers of road, the grading and servicing of the core university buildings, grading for resident housing buildings, integration of geothermal heat system, tie into existing water system and add equalization reservoir, pump station and storage water for domestic system.
CREUS Member Roles: CREUS members were the original, and continue to be, the Engineer of record for all the preliminary and detailed civil, sediment and erosion control and Stormwater Management elements of the project and managed the tender and construction of the works, providing inspection for all ongoing and completed civil works.
